The printer is making noise everytime it prints. The noise sounds like something jammed at the bearing or roller.

Hi @KianTat ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw is making unusual noises, especially ones that sound like something is jammed at the bearing or roller, there are several potential causes and solutions you can explore:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams. Even small bits of paper can cause noise.
  • Inspect the paper path, including the input and output trays, for any obstructions.

Inspect the Rollers:

  • Examine the rollers for any debris or foreign objects that might be causing the noise.
  • Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water

Ensure Proper Loading of Paper:

  • Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the input tray. Improperly loaded paper can cause noise.
  • Adjust the paper guides to ensure they snugly hold the paper in place.

Check for Loose Parts:

  • Ensure that there are no loose parts inside the printer. Loose components can cause unusual noises.
  • Check for any broken or damaged parts, especially around the rollers and gears.

Verify Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed. Improperly seated cartridges can cause noise during printing.
  • Check if any toner cartridges are low or empty, as this could contribute to printing issues.

Update Firmware/Drivers:

  • Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check the HP support website for firmware updates.
  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
