Hello Rachel571,

I am experiencing the same difficulty (similar) with my 9015 printer. There appears a "JAM" message in the automatic document feeder. I've opened it every which way to inspect, nothing in the printer. Cleaned rollers and reset with unplugging, etc. The same message continues to appear. It is preventing me from using the scan action, and cannot make copies from the glass top. The only action it will perform is printing from the computer. If you can direct me further or assist on references to repair in the northern Los Angeles area would be greatly appreciated.
