My prints and scans have suddenly started printing skewed and subesquent pages/ scans are moving down the page in portrait and simlarly to the left on landscape. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi @JamesMackay4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 5030 printer is producing skewed prints and scans, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue.
- Check the alignment: Make sure the paper is properly aligned in the paper tray and that the guides are snugly holding the paper in place.
- Clean the scanner glass: If the scans are coming out skewed, it could be because there is dirt or debris on the scanner glass. Clean the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Check the paper type and size settings: Make sure the paper type and size settings on your printer are set correctly. If the printer is set to print on a different paper size or type than what is in the tray, it can cause skewed prints.
- Check the printer driver: Ensure that you have the correct printer driver installed on your computer. If you're not sure which driver you need, you can download the latest driver from HP's website.
- Calibrate the printer: Most printers have a calibration option in the settings menu. This will ensure that the printer is properly aligned and calibrated to produce accurate prints and scans.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for your advice. All very helpful.
However, they did not solve the problem. I eventually realised that the paper path cover was incorrectly fitted from the last time I had a paper jam. Tefitted correctly it is now working welll again. Thank you very much.
