HP OfficeJet Pro 9014 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

Title says it all, I snapped the encoder strip of my HP officejet pro 9014 - the left side of the encoder when facing the printer. he right side is still attached.

The little hook at the end of the encoder is broken and the metal hook it is normally attached to fell inside the printer. I read that you could "redo" the encoder hook with strong tape so I will give this a try. Also found a how to open the printer with torx screwdrivers.

IF all fails what are my options as it is now out of warranty? I also can't find the proper 1KR42-80005 online. I'm in the UK.

Feels a bit frustrating to throw an entire printer away when only a super tiny piece of plastic is broken.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Philippe
