Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI

I had to replace a printer cartridge earlier today and found that the top cover of the printer was very stiff and therefore difficult to open. I managed to open it but the creaking noise was a bit worrying!

I wondered whether there is some lubrication required but I'm nervous about damaging the printer,

Does anyone have any experience of this or any suggestions please? It doesn't seem to be covered in the manual.
