Hi @RajGurijala,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with printing issues can be frustrating. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue with your HP DeskJet 2700.
Check Printer Status
- Power: Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the computer or network.
- Paper and Ink: Check that there is paper in the tray and that the ink cartridges are not empty or low.
Clear Print Queue
Windows:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP DeskJet 2700 and select See what's printing.
- In the new window, click on Printer and select Cancel All Documents.
Mac:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and click on Open Print Queue.
- Select the print jobs and delete them.
Restart Devices
- Restart your printer, computer, and router (if using a network connection).
Check Connections
- USB: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- Wireless: Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Run the wireless setup wizard from the printer's control panel if needed.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows)
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and fix common printing and scanning problems.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
Windows:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Uninstall the current drivers: Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your printer > Remove device.
- Install the new drivers.
Mac:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and click on the minus sign (-) to remove it.
- Add the printer again by clicking on the plus sign (+).
- Download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
Set Printer as Default
- Ensure the HP DeskJet 2700 is set as your default printer.
- Windows: Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your printer > Set as default printer.
- Mac: System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Right-click your printer > Set as default printer.
Print a Test Page
- Try printing a test page to check if the printer is working properly.
- Windows: Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your printer > Printer properties > Print Test Page.
- Mac: System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Select your printer > Options & Supplies > Utility > Print Test Page.
Check for Firmware Updates
- Sometimes firmware updates can fix printing issues. Check the HP Support website for any available firmware updates for your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
