Hi @Gary278,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It looks like you're experiencing an error message related to your HP printer. The error code "0x6100004a" typically indicates a hardware issue or a problem with the printer's internal components. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Turn Off and On:

  • Turn off both your printer and your computer.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Turn on the printer first and then the computer.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams inside the printer.
  • Check the paper path and remove any stuck paper.

Check Ink or Toner Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges are properly installed.
  • If the cartridges are low or empty, replace them.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Update Printer Firmware/Driver:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check the HP website for updates.
  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Sometimes, conflicts with other installed software can cause printer issues. Try printing after disabling unnecessary background applications.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
