1st time setup. Technically challenged! Followed all the steps online but still get carriage jam message. Thought I removed all the packaging. Are there any small places I may have missed?

I understand you are getting a carriage jam error.
Make sure there are no paper/cardboards/plastics stuck inside the printer and the print carriage is moving freely - Paper Jam Error (includes steps to clear a carriage jam)
