This is a first time setup and I keep getting a carriage jam message. Followed all the steps online

HP Recommended
HP Office Jet 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

1st time setup. Technically challenged! Followed all the steps online but still get carriage jam message. Thought I removed all the packaging. Are there any small places I may have missed?

@kathleen71, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are getting a carriage jam error.

 

Make sure there are no paper/cardboards/plastics stuck inside the printer and the print carriage is moving freely - Paper Jam Error (includes steps to clear a carriage jam)
