Product: hp officejet pro 8600 plus

I entered an old piece of paper into the document feeder scanner, but its old edges got stuck and jammed the document feeder. I tried to pull it out but it tore. Now it's stuck and I can't release it. How do I remove it?

Best method is to get a piece of mylar, I use a small thin ruler, and push it through the paper path in the direction of travel. Never pull backwards as you can damage sensors or flags.
