Hi @BevRose,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Dealing with a torn paper jam inside an HP LaserJet Pro M130Fw MFP can be frustrating, but here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Turn off the printer: Before attempting to remove the jammed paper, it's essential to turn off the printer to prevent any damage and ensure safety.
  • Open the printer: Carefully open the printer's access door or any panels designed for paper jam removal. Refer to the printer's manual for specific instructions on how to access the paper path and remove jams.
  • Identify the jammed paper: Once you have access to the paper path, identify the torn paper and its location. Use a flashlight if necessary to get a better view inside the printer.
  • Remove the torn paper: Gently pull out the torn pieces of paper. Be careful not to tear the paper further or leave any fragments inside the printer, as this could lead to further jams.
  • Check for any remaining debris: After removing the torn paper, carefully inspect the printer's interior for any remaining paper shreds or debris. Use compressed air or a soft brush to clean out any residual particles.
  • Close the printer: Once you have cleared the paper jam and ensured that there are no remaining obstructions, close the printer's access door securely.
  • Turn on the printer: After closing the printer, turn it back on and check for any error messages indicating paper jams. Print a test page to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
