I was removing a paper jam from rear portal and paper tore leaving small piece in roller that is inaccessible- the roller appears guarded by square 2x2  piece with rivets in left upper corner…any ideas how to access area?

These machines can be frustrating as they are incredible difficult to access for jam removal. If the printer functions you could try printing on a heavier piece of stock in hopes that the jam gets pushed out. If that does not work then you will probably need to disassemble the printer and remove the fuser unit to gain access and remove the jam. There are numerous videos on YouTube on how to disassemble the printer to change the fuser and I suggest you watch one of those to get a good idea of the steps required to remove and reinstall the fuser.
