Hi @RhondaK65,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Paper jams can occur in various parts of the printer. If you cannot locate jammed paper in one area, proceed to check other areas.

Input Tray:

  • Remove any loose or jammed paper accessible from this tray area.
  • Use both hands to pull out any sheets to prevent tearing.
  • Inspect for any torn pieces or foreign objects inside the tray.

Output Tray:

  • Check and remove any jammed paper visible from the output tray.
  • Use both hands to pull out any sheets to prevent tearing.
  • Remove any torn pieces or foreign objects inside the tray.

Inside the Printer:

  • Open the printhead access door by first opening the front door.
  • Remove any jammed paper accessible from within the printer.
  • Inspect for any other torn pieces or foreign objects inside.

Underneath the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Carefully set the printer on its back to avoid ink leakage.
  • Inspect the cleanout area and remove any paper from there.

Automatic Document Feeder (ADF):

  • Lift the cover and remove any jammed paper from the ADF rollers.
  • Remove any torn pieces or foreign objects inside the ADF.

I hope this helps.
