HP ENVY PRO 6400.  NO DESCRIPTION ANYWHERE ABOUT WHERE TO LOAD LEGAL-SIZE PAPER FOR PRINTING LEGAL DOCS?

Welcome to the HP User Community.

The printers in this series generally support standard paper sizes and Custom paper sizes as shown in the Specifications.

That said, the User Guide does not say loading this size is different from loading regular sized paper (Letter in the USA).

This would mean that the legal sized paper is loaded in the main printer tray - assuming, of course, that the tray will accommodate the length of the paper and still be able to close.  Pages 18-19

What if the tray is too short?

No idea - At least amongst the documents I have found, nothing more is said about this size paper and how it would load into the printer.
