Hi @abhi7uday ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a paper-feeding issue with your HP Smart Tank 670 All-in-One printer. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check the Paper Type and Quality:

  • Ensure you're using the correct paper type and size for your printer. Low-quality or wrinkled paper can cause feeding issues.
  • Use fresh, smooth paper without any tears, wrinkles, or folds.

2. Check the Paper Alignment:

  • Make sure the paper is aligned properly in the input tray.
  • Adjust the paper width guides so that they lightly touch the paper stack, but don't press too tightly, as this can cause paper jams.

3. Fan and Reinsert the Paper:

  • Remove the paper from the input tray and fan the edges to separate the sheets, then reload the stack.
  • Ensure that the stack is not above the maximum fill line.

4. Clean the Paper Feed Rollers:

  • Dust and debris on the rollers can cause the paper to slip while feeding.
  • Steps to clean rollers:
    1. Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
    2. Open the access area where the paper feed rollers are located.
    3. Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water to gently wipe the rollers.
    4. Allow the rollers to dry completely before turning the printer back on.

5. Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the paper path for any debris, torn pieces of paper, or foreign objects that might be preventing proper feeding.

6. Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date, as software updates can sometimes resolve feeding issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
