Ideas...
- Could be the paper - too damp, too dry (unlikely during monsoon season), wrinkled.
- Could be the printer - dirty, damp, sticky (related to dirty).
- Could be the printer - out of alignment
- Could be the firmware - out of date?
The alignment is separated from the other two simply because, if you cannot print an alignment sheet, you might not be able to align the printer.
Try some fresh, dry, carefully stored paper in a freshly cleaned - and hopefully aligned - printer.

If not done, consider updating the firmware:
