how to get rid of clicking sound from mfp 479 when printing or copying

obviously you need to determine what is making the noise. More details would help here. Can you post a video? Which part of the printer does the noise seem to come from? Is it constant or only at a certain part of the printing process?

More on clicking sound from MFP 479:

1. Definitely not from the feeder

2. Clicks come from inside, from something turning perhaps, periodic and several per second

3.From 2 clicks for first page, and more and more for subsequent pages

4. Can also be characterized as chirps

5. Number of clicks increases as more pages are printed.  Due to something warming up?

6. Clicks occur only when papers are being moved

7. Have a recording of clicks as an .m4a file but could not attach to this posting

When you click reply, you should see a screen like below. Circled in red at the camera icon that allows you to embedded a movie or you can attach the file using the bottom option. Keep in mind that all image are curated so you will not see your file until it is checked by a moderator.
