Hi @Mason1990T,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing this detail — I understand how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t quite look right after a repair.

In the HP CP1525n, the transfer belt assembly typically includes small metal alignment pins or clips that help secure the belt frame in place, ensuring correct tension and positioning.

What You Can Do:

  • Check the Service Manual or Assembly Diagram: The HP CP1525n Service Manual or an exploded parts diagram would show exactly where each component belongs.

  • Look for Matching Mount Points: Inside the printer’s transfer belt area, there should be small holes, slots, or grooves where the pin fits to either anchor the belt frame or act as a guide.

  • If Unsure, Avoid Operating the Printer until this pin is secured, as running it loose could cause damage.

If you can share a clear photo of the pin and the surrounding area, I’d be happy to help identify its placement for you.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Mason1990T,

Thank you for sharing the images. Possibly something shifted internally during the replacement process. Paper path obstructions, misaligned rollers, or improperly seated components can sometimes cause this issue.

  1. Turn off and unplug the printer.

  2. Remove the toner cartridges and carefully take out the transfer belt again, inspecting for any leftover scraps of paper, torn edges, or obstructions in the paper path.

  3. Reinstall the transfer belt, making sure it’s securely seated and properly aligned with the rollers and drive gears.

  4. Check the paper path rollers for wear, debris, or misalignment, especially near the fuser and entry area.

  5. Power the printer back on and try a test print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
