Hello,

we recently ran into trouble with paper jamming after about 50-60 pages (but it is so random) of printing on this printer.

I replaced separator from tray 2 and grabbing rollers to other ones but it still happens. We can see that on slightly thicker paper it is better (100-120g) but on 80g it is always at least 1 jam in print job. It mostly stucks when whole sheet is inside and it is easy to take it out after taking out toner cartridge but it is annoying. Maybe somebody has some tips what should i check.

Not all 80gsm are the same quality. Changing the paper type can change the way the printer works.

Poor quality 80gsm paper, use better quality paper HP paper, or Navigator brand paper.

I undestratnd that paper might be an issue but in specification for this printer 60g is minimum and this is 80. Anything more than that?

i appreciate help and information that paper could be main issue.

Also in addition i have following question.

Does paper settings on printer change anything? Like when i change paper type to "light" or "heavy" does it affect how printer grabs paper shets or it is only for sorting print jobs for specific paper type?
