I have an intractable paper jam issue with my 4650. I have followed ALL the steps provided in the video for how to clear a jam and it keeps saying there's a paper jam every time I print. However, the paper ISN'T ACTUALLY JAMMED! As soon as the printer cancels the job, the paper is fed out into the output tray. For the sake of the environment and my pocketbook, I don't want to have to buy another printer (especially since I just bought new ink which isn't cheap).
I have searched throughout the HP website to get support but talking to a real, live person seems impossible. I'm willing to get the printer serviced, I just need to know whom to contact to do that.

Hi @naotsete,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with an intractable paper jam can be quite frustrating, especially when the printer keeps reporting a jam that isn't there. Here are some steps you can follow to potentially resolve this issue and get your HP 4650 printer serviced:
Troubleshooting Steps
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open all accessible panels and look for any small bits of paper or debris.
- Use a flashlight to thoroughly inspect all paper paths.
Clean the Rollers:
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the paper feed rollers.
- Roll the rollers manually to ensure they are free of dust and debris.
Update Firmware:
- Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Check the HP support website for any available updates.
Re-calibrate the Printer:
- Go to the printer’s settings menu and look for a maintenance option to calibrate the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
