it keeps saying that it is out of paper in the photo tray but not trying to print a photo

@philwylie1983, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

 

Reinsert the papers in the input tray. Once you close the tray, you will get a prompt on the printer screen to select the paper type. Make sure the settings are right.
