Please clarify the issue a little. When you turn the printer on, it feeds six pages (are they blank) and jams on the seventh? Or are you able to print six pages of a job? If the printer starts feeding paper while initializing it can be due to a jammed sensor and the printer is trying to clear the paper path or you may have a stale job in your print queue that is causing a problem. Eliminate the computer as a possible issue by disconnecting the usb or network connection to the printer and then cycling the power. If you get the issue then you have a hardware problem, possibly a stuck solenoid or sensor in the feed path.

I do not have an 1102 nearby, typically the sensors on these units are in the fuser, in the tray feed and at the exit.

If you open the door and remove the toner you should be able to to see the some of the flags but this engine design does have one at the back of  the fuser that is harder to get to. You likely have a stuck flag and the printer tries numerous times to clear itself and then fails.
