Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 HP ENVY 5644 e-All-in-One Printer (B9S65A) Specifications

Paper Handling

Media weight, supported (metric)
Tray 1: A4: 75 to 90 g/m²; HP envelopes: 75 to 90 g/m²; HP Photo Paper: up to 250 g/m²; HP 10 x 15 cm photo paper: up to 250 g/m²

What?

Possibly,

  • Printer is dirty
  • Paper is loaded incorrectly - sideways, print surface placed up instead of down, tray is crooked.
  • Paper is not of a sufficient quality - does not have to be "HP" paper, does have to be a high-grade brand
  • Paper is old, curled, too damp, too dry
  • Printer is old, worn, incapable of handling the heavier paper any longer
  • Settings are incorrect - Wrong settings generally result in a print error instead of a "jam" but can also result in the paper path jamming or being incorrectly interpreted.
  • Any combination of "other reasons"
