my HP LaserJet M252 printer stopped printing duplex; will only print manual duplex. What to do?

The two most common issues with Windows based computers are:

1. A Microsoft update has replaced the HP driver with a Microsoft Class or IPP driver that does not support advanced features like duplex. On your computer, go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon for your printer and select advanced to see what driver is being used. if it is not an HP driver then uninstall, download the correct HP driver and reinstall.

2. If there is an HP driver installed then the driver has forgotten that there is a duplex unit installed. Follow the steps above but click on Device settings and then scroll down the installable options until you see duplex unit and change it to "installed"
