In order to diagnose a paper overfull in both trays I need to better understand paper flow and sensor reaction from trays to the output tray, I have a M608 and am getting overfull paper in both trays linkage in trays seems to be broken, but not sure is that's the real issue, I kinda focused on flag near roller kits but do not understand the function on how it works in conjunction with tray linkage, could someone help

Did anything happen just before this issue started? It is very easy to install the pickup rollers incorrectly and this leads to paper tray size sensing issues as the flag that is supposed to detect when the paper has lifted to print position gets jammed under the flag on the pickup roller itself.
