HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

I had a paper jam message.  Took the paper roller cover off, then took the white 2-piece plastic cover  off the paper feed.  No paper pieces found, but I need to know how the white plastic cover is supposed to be oriented to reassemble it.  A diagram would be great.

Hi @Brody8 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to reassemble the white plastic cover on the HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer correctly, the orientation is important to ensure proper paper feed.

While I don't have a diagram available, here’s a general guideline for assembling the white 2-piece plastic cover:

Position of the Parts:

  • The larger piece of the plastic cover should be placed first, and it should fit into the slots along the edges of the paper feed path.
  • The smaller piece of the cover fits into the larger piece, locking it into place.

Orientation:

  • The smooth side (often the side with no ridges) should face the paper feed rollers.
  • The side with ridges or raised edges should face outward, aligning with the rest of the printer assembly.

Alignment:

  • Ensure the white plastic cover clicks into place securely and does not interfere with the rollers. There should be no gaps or loose sections.

If you find it challenging to identify the exact orientation, I recommend checking your printer's manual or searching online for a detailed image or video that shows the assembly process. Alternatively, HP support might be able to provide more detailed visual guidance if needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
