paper issue

I have an HP Envy printer 4520. It says that it needs paper, but there is plenty of paper in the machine. I have checked there is no jam anywhere and I have turned it off and on. It does some gronking, but then says again and again that it needs paper.

Are you using letter-size sheets?
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper
Make sure the papers are loaded correctly in the input tray - Loading Paper, Cards, and Envelopes
Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Try making a standalone copy and check if that works.

Thank you for your reply. The paper tray got stuck before I received your reply and my daughter resolved the issue for me by consulting the website. Once the paper tray came unstuck it also started picking up paper and we could manage a copy again. I’m not sure what she did.
