It is going to be one of two things:

1. You really have a paper jam but it is a small bit of paper that is stuck in a non-visible place but it is holding a flag open. For printers where it is hard to see the entire path you may need to "floss" the paper path. This is done by taking a 1-2 inch wide piece of stiffer paper or very thin cardboard or somewhat stiff mylar. You then force this through the paper path, ONLY in the direction of normal paper travel, never backwards. Start near the center as this is where flags are often located and repeat covering the entire width of the print carriage. If there is something stuck this will in most cases push it out.

2. A flag for a sensor is broken or the sensor itself has failed, in which case there is nothing you will be able to do to resolve the issue.
