The usual culprits include:

  • Paper Jam condition
  • Paper size / type not supported >> For example, trying to use paper that is too thick, too shiny, too small, too "something" that is not correct for the settings or not supported
  • Paper size / type not selected correctly in the Printer Control Panel and / or in the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
  • Dirty printer
  • Previous paper jam preventing new paper being loaded from the printer tray
  • Bad paper - too dry, too damp, curled, damaged, incorrectly stored
