Hi @mochannb52,
Hi @mochannb52,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the paper tray extender on your HP Envy 6065e printer is stuck or locked in place, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check for obstructions: Look for any paper or debris that may be blocking the movement of the paper tray extender. Gently remove any obstructions you find.
- Power cycle the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve mechanical issues.
- Manually adjust the extender: If the extender is stuck due to a mechanical issue, you may need to gently try to move it manually. Be very careful while doing this to avoid causing any damage to the printer.
- Inspect for damage: Check the paper tray extender and the surrounding area for any signs of damage.
- Reset the printer: Some HP printers have a reset option in the settings menu. You can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults to see if it resolves the issue with the paper tray extender.
- Update printer firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates include bug fixes and improvements that can address issues like this.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
