Hi @kiki110,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet 3054 All-in-One Printer (J610a) is having issues with paper not feeding correctly, here are some steps to troubleshoot the problem.
Check for Obstructions
- Power Off and Unplug: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Inspect for Debris: Look inside the paper input and output trays for any debris, paper fragments, or foreign objects that could be blocking the paper path. Remove any obstructions carefully.
Clean the Paper Rollers
- Access Rollers: Open the paper path cover to access the rollers. Refer to your printer's manual if you need help locating them.
- Clean Rollers: Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the rollers. Rotate the rollers manually to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned.
- Dry Rollers: Allow the rollers to dry completely before attempting to print again.
Check Paper Quality and Alignment
- Use Correct Paper: Ensure you are using the recommended paper type and size for your printer.
- Align Paper Properly: Load a stack of plain white paper into the input tray. Make sure the paper guides are snug but not too tight against the paper stack.
- Avoid Overloading: Do not overfill the input tray. Ensure the stack height does not exceed the maximum paper limit.
Reset the Printer
- Turn Off and Unplug: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds.
- Restart Printer: Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Try to print again to see if the issue is resolved.
Perform a Printer Reset
- Press and Hold Power Button: With the printer turned on, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then release it.
- Wait for Restart: Wait for the printer to reset and restart.
Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Updates: Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website, search for your printer model, and download any available firmware updates.
Run Printer Diagnostic Tools
- HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can help diagnose and fix common printing problems.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with your HP Deskjet 3054 All-in-One Printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
