Hi @Dave1894,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue with your HP Envy 6000 series printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem further before considering replacement.

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and reinsert them to ensure they make a good connection.
  • Inspect Ink Cartridges: Even if they are new, inspect the cartridges for any damage or blockage. Sometimes, the protective tape may not be removed fully.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve printing issues.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset internal issues.
  • Try Different Paper: Ensure you are using the correct type of paper and that it is loaded properly. Sometimes, the printer can have issues if the paper isn’t seated correctly.
  • Test Print with Different Document: Sometimes, the document itself can have issues. Try printing a different document or a test page to see if the problem persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
