Microsoft Windows 11

I got a printer cartridge jam error message. I cleared the jam, re-installed the paper tray, and tried to print. The piece of paper that was loaded immediately jammed, apparently. I redid the above steps, and still got jams. I put the paper tray in with no paper, and it still told me the cartridge could not be moved and I needed to clear the jam. Basically, the printer is now non functional even though it has been lightly used. It is out of warranty, so no help from HP. Any thoughts would be welcome.
