printer is not recognizing paper is in the tray
basically, paper is in the tray
I have cleaned all dust off and out of the printer (including the guide wheels in the back)
and the the printer tries to grab paper but goes back to the "out of paper" error when it clearly has paper

Hi @njk247,
Thanks for sharing the details. apologies for the late reply as I was away.
If your HP Photosmart 7525 printer is not recognizing that paper is loaded in the tray, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Paper Loading: Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray. Ensure that the paper stack is aligned properly, not too thick and that it doesn't exceed the maximum paper capacity of the tray.
Paper Type and Size Settings: Verify that the paper type and size settings on the printer match the type and size of the paper you've loaded in the tray. Incorrect settings can cause the printer to not recognize the paper.
Clean Paper Tray Rollers: Dust, debris, or paper residue on the paper tray rollers can prevent the printer from picking up paper properly. Clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on cleaning the rollers.
Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the power outlet, and wait for about a minute. Then, reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer. Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve temporary issues.
Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the printer firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.
Reload Paper: Try removing the paper from the tray, fan the stack to separate the sheets, and then reload it into the tray. Sometimes, paper may stick together, causing the printer to not recognize it.
Check for Obstructions: Inspect the paper path for any obstructions such as torn pieces of paper, foreign objects, or debris that may be blocking the paper from feeding properly.
Test with Different Paper: If possible, try using a different type or brand of paper to see if the issue persists. Some printers may have difficulty with certain types of paper.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a hardware problem with the printer. Contact HP phone support for further assistance or to arrange for servicing or repair.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
