@ncot,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing cutting some

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • From which application/software you are printing?
  • Are you facing the same issue when you print?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-photo-7100-all-in-one-printer-series/9073119/model/1649...

Check the settings on the word. Also, try printing the same images using Powerpoint or MS paint and check.

If you continue facing the issue, then root uninstall the printer and then reinstall it.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

I did all this twice. After wasting a huge amount of my instant ink allowance and very expensive paper i have sort of got it working. I need to unplug the printer and wait for a few minutes and okug it back in and it (most of the tine works) i have to do this every day i ise it so is obviously not a propper fix and ive wasted so much money on materials

@ncot

I understand. Let us try these steps:

Are you using regular plain paper?

Try making a standalone copy and check if that prints fine. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC.

Let me know how it goes.
