I have a HP envy 5032. as of today it  does not want to print onto photo paper, no matter what type of paper i choose, i had no problem a few days ago. I have changed the amount of paper in the feed tray, more, less, and middle. It doesn't seem to feed the paper through. Normal run of the mill paper is fine, but I can't keep printing pictures onto that due to the quality and the amount of ink.

Hi @L2608,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Envy 5032 is having trouble feeding photo paper, even though it prints fine on regular paper. Here are some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

Check Paper Type & Load Properly

  • Make sure you're loading the photo paper glossy side facing down (if it's glossy).
  • Load one sheet at a time or just a few sheets (too much can cause feeding issues).
  • Align the stack properly and adjust the paper guides snugly against the edges.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

  • Dust or residue can prevent the printer from gripping photo paper.
  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the input tray and look for the rollers.
  • Use a clean lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to wipe the rollers.
  • Let them dry completely before plugging the printer back in.

Check Paper Settings

  • In your print settings, go to Printer Preferences and set:
    • Paper Type: Select the exact type (e.g., HP Premium Plus Photo Paper, Glossy, Matte, etc.).
    • Paper Size: Ensure it matches the size of the photo paper.
    • Print Quality: Set it to Best.
  • If using Windows, try printing from HP Smart instead of other apps.

Update Printer Firmware & Drivers

  • Outdated firmware can cause printing issues. Update it by:
    • Going to HP Support and checking for updates.
    • Updating drivers on your computer.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for 5 minutes.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again.

Try Different Photo Paper

  • If possible, try a different brand or type of photo paper.
  • Some printers struggle with thick or incompatible photo paper.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
