Hi, I'm trying to fix printer due to printhead slamming from side to side. inside the printer.  Have checked methods to remediate but still at a loss.  This printer is about 4 years old so still in great shape as we have not had any problems with it beforehand and nothing really odd happened to it before it started malfunctioning. Any suggestions?

I tried to clean the "clear runner tape band" that the printhead tracks on...  Plugged and unplugged according to suggestions and manual.  Still showing a E3 error. Its an HP smart tank plus 555.
