Printing getting cut off on paper

Welcome to the HP English Community --

It is true that this DeskJet series does require a larger margin along the bottom edge.

AND

The printer type does not support Borderless.

Perhaps whatever app or software you are using is not set to "fit" the content to the page

OR

The app or software cannot be made (instructed) to properly fit the content to the page (sheet of paper)

and / or

Image Printing

The shape of the content (what you are printing) does not fit / match the shape of the paper (Aspect Ratio).

Aspect Ratio might be tricky - not all apps or software handle cropping or shaping as intelligently as expected or wanted.

===========================================

Finally, the content type is important when printing -

  • Documents behave differently than do images - this includes when the content is printed.
  • Images, especially those embedded into documents, behave according to the rules in the document and even how they are placed into that document.

===========================================

Margins

DeskJet printers typically require a larger margin along the bottom edge.

If you rotate the print, the larger margin moves to the side.

Borderless PrintingNo
Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

There is no software, firmware, or alignment that changes the larger margin requirement.

The solution to "chopped off" is to keep all data inside of 1/2 inch / 12.7mm on the bottom edge.

This limitation includes all text, images, page numbers, footer information, cells, tables, lines, other notations, and all file types, too.

Create your original document with 12.7mm ( 1/2 inch ) margins.

Alternatively, and where it will work for you, Print the content as "Fit", "Shrink to Fit", or a percentage of 100% that will capture all the content on the page.
