I own an HP MFP M477fnw printer which has a paper jam art the back

I cannot remove this sheet of paper which is now torn

Is there a safe way to open it up beyond the door?

In most cases the only "safe" way to remove the paper is to disassemble the printer and remove the fuser. There are numerous videos on Youtube that document this procedure. Due to the design it is nearly impossible to move a torn off page any other way without risking major damage to the fuser or guide fins.
