Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In my law office, I have two HP8600 Pro inkjet printers, and their mechanism works perfectly, but the software does not accept their initialization and displays the same information. Can someone help me? The print heads are new.

Hi @gersonjussi,

Thank you for your response,

It sounds like the issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 printers could be related to the initialization process failing due to a software or firmware conflict. Since the print heads are new, it indicates that the hardware is likely fine. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Perform a Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and power it on.

Firmware Update

  • Ensure that the firmware on both printers is up to date.
  • Download the latest firmware from the HP Support website for your model here.
  • Install the update and restart the printer.

Reinstall Printer Software and Drivers

  • Uninstall the current HP software and drivers on your Windows 10/11 system.
    • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall the HP printer software.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer from the HP website.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • HP provides a diagnostic tool called the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" to troubleshoot and fix common printing issues.
  • Download it from HP’s website and run the tool to see if it can identify any issues with your printer software.

Factory Reset the Printer

  • If none of the above steps work, try performing a factory reset on the printer:
    • Navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Settings on the printer’s control panel.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
