I've been trying to resolve this issue of my 8610's Wireless Report stating it's connected to the internet but when I check ink status it tells me I have to connect the printer to the internet.  I've tried rebooting everything and still have the same problem.

So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

Try rebooting the devices - 

 

1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer/ mobile devices.

2) Wait for 60 seconds.

3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.

4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.

5) Turn on the computer/ mobile devices.

 

Update the firmware of the printer. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

If the issue still persists, try re-enabling the Web-Services -

 

To remove Web Services, complete the following steps:

1. From the printer control panel display, touch (HP ePrint), and then touch Settings.

2. Touch Remove Web Services.

 

Restart the router and the printer. 

 

To set up Web Services, complete the following steps:

1. Make sure the printer is connected to the Internet using either an Ethernet or wireless connection.
2. From the printer control panel, touch (print apps) or (HP ePrint).
3. Touch Yes to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services.
4. In the Auto Update screen, touch Yes to allow the printer to automatically check for and install product updates.

5. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.

 

This will print a new eprnint.com email address. The first part before the @ is the claim code. 

 

Login to your Instant Ink account using this link > Click on the notifications or the bell icon and then click on Add Printer.
