@BJ371, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP 9130e Printer Stuck in Firmware Update!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP 9130e printer is stuck in the firmware update process and is unresponsive despite being online, here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
  • Turn on the printer and see if it resumes normally.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to the network.
  • Check if other devices on the network can access the internet or communicate with the printer.
  • If necessary, reconnect the printer to the network and try again.

Update the Firmware Manually:

Use the Firmware Update Utility:

  • In some cases, you may need to use the HP Firmware Update Utility, which you can get from the same support website.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to attempt updating the firmware again using this utility.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a soft reset by unplugging the printer while it is on, waiting a minute, and then plugging it back in.
  • Alternatively, check the printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Be careful with this step as it may erase printer settings.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
