Hi @Seismique,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering account setup errors on your HP printer even after trying a hard reset and attempting to reset your account and printer settings through the HP app. Follow these steps for troubleshooting:

Ensure Proper Connectivity:

  • Confirm that your printer is properly connected to your network. Check Wi-Fi settings and ensure that the printer and your device are on the same network.

Re-Check Account Credentials:

  • Verify that the login details you are using for the HP app and services are correct. Double-check the email and password for any typographical errors.

Software and Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that the printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the HP app or from the printer's control panel.

Printer Software Reinstallation:

  • Uninstall the HP printer software from your device and reinstall it to ensure that there are no corrupted files causing the error.

HP App:

  • If you're using the HP app, try logging out and back in to refresh your session. If this doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the HP app.

Factory Reset Printer:

  • If a hard reset didn't resolve the issue, consider performing a factory reset on your printer. Note that this will erase all stored settings and require you to set it up anew.

Check for Account Issues:

  • Visit the HP support website to see if there are any service issues or known bugs related to account management. There may be updates or patches available for download.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
