Hi @Jb7032,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Verify Printer Setup
- Remove Packing Materials:
- Ensure that all packing materials and protective tapes have been removed from the inside and outside of the printer.
- Initial Setup:
- Confirm that you have completed the initial setup as per the instructions provided in the manual, including installing cartridges and loading paper.
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn Off the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug and Wait:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect:
- Plug the power cord back into the outlet and the printer.
- Turn On:
- Press the power button to turn the printer on.
Ensure Cartridge Installation
- Open Cartridge Access Door:
- Open the front cover to access the ink cartridges.
- Check Cartridges:
- Ensure that the cartridges are correctly seated and locked in place.
- Reinsert Cartridges:
- If necessary, remove the cartridges and reinstall them, making sure they click into place.
- Close Cartridge Access Door:
- Ensure the cartridge access door is securely closed.
Load Paper Correctly
- Check Paper Tray:
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the tray and not exceeding the maximum capacity.
- Adjust Paper Guides:
- Adjust the paper guides to align with the edges of the paper.
I hope this helps.
