Product: Samsung Xpress SL-C1860FW Color Laser Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My printer shows version 4.00.04.06 OCT-14-2016.  Checking site for latest firmware version is 4.00.02.50 dated September 1, 2017.  Confused that the version number installed appears newer than the version found on site but the one on site shows a newer date.  However when I try to install I encounter an 'Invalid firmware' message when try to install after a minute or two of trying to verify the firmware update.

Why won't it install?  Is the version currently installed a newer version than the one found on site?

The firmware release note included with the zip firmware file doesn't even mention your firmware version.

I realize that but that is what shows in my display, unless I'm not interpreting correctly.  I have never updated firmware previously but this is what I find.  I am not the only one that has posted this version and issue, but prior submittal was never responded to.  However, I do not find any reference to this version other than another inquiry/submittal.
