Got this Printer as a gift, second hand trying to set it up all looks good until I press print, then it asks me to set up an account so the ink cartridges will work. is there a way of setting it up without having to pay mouthy fees . (Free) Thanks Jo903.

If that person (who gave you the printer) had an Instant Ink subscription
and
If he / she / they did not remove the Instant Ink cartridges,
Know that Instant Ink cartridges do not work outside of the contract (with that particular subscription).
The cartridges, in this case, have locked and have to be removed and replaced with a purchased set of HP cartridges.
Stop Web services (this is usually a toggle on the printer).
Remove all the Instant Ink Cartridges.
Purchase and install a new set of HP cartridges.
If the cartridges installed in the printer are Not (labeled on the cartridge as) Instant Ink cartridges,
Stop Web Services - Wait a bit - Try printing.
