When trying to add the printer to my laptop, it asks for WPS pin.  I can't find it anywhere.  Online advice says - it should print on network configuration page (it doesn't): it will appear on the printer screen for 90 seconds when I try to add the printer (it doesn't); download HP smart and go from there (I still receive the same message - and also a tip not to try to add a printer with direct in it - but that is how my printer appears when searching for printers).  Please help!!!

@KM46 This is all you need to know and do:

Enter the WPS PIN for your printer message

When this message displays, the PIN is temporarily shown on the printer touchscreen or is on an information sheet that automatically prints. You have a short time (90 seconds for many models) to enter the PIN before it becomes invalid. Restarting the computer and going through the printer setup process again generates a new PIN.

If you cannot complete the setup with the WPS PIN, click Cancel and install the HP Smart app instead. During the installation, you are prompted to set up the printer connection.

P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉
