HP envy photo 7855
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a new HP Envy Photo 7855,  trying to set it up and received an error message that says "use setup cartridges that came with your printer."  I have new cartridges,  but not setup cartridges.

Please send me a workaround for HP Envy 7855

Additionally, after installing the software on my PC, it searches for the printer and can't find it. I can't "reset" the wifi (it's not currently connected) for the printer because I am stuck on this error screen. I'm hoping that once I get past the SETUP cartridges error issue, I can figure out how to connect the printer to my PC.

Hi @melbrumer

Welcome to HP Support Community!

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number on a private message for further assistance.

Here is the link to find the product number:- Click here
