Product: Officejet Pro 8720
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to add 8720 using add printer dialog. Laptop sees the printer on my wifi, but add device keeps failing. Installed HP Smart, and tries those steps - but it still fails. I think it can't find the driver, but I can't figure a way to download and install the driver manually. When I look at the installed drivers on my laptop, there are no HP printer drivers. When add devce fails - it fails immediately, Thanks!

Since I have an older laptop where this was working, a friend suggested finding the driver and copying it over. Found it, dumped to a thumb drive, tried the add printer dialog, but then clicked the link that says my printer wasn't listed. Specified the printer IP, and then said I have the install disk. Pointed to the driver on the thumb drive and it worked. Shouldn't take that much effort to install a printer. Done!
