Deskjet 4120

Hi, I have just bought a new 4120 printer and get an error message on the HP Smart App of a cartridge problem with the black cartridge.  The message states "the indicated cartridges are not communicating". I've tried all of the recommended online steps to resolve to no avail and have even signed up the instant ink programme thinking I would be sent a new cartridge but it appears the fault is preventing the printer from providing the ink service with any information.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error
