Just recently my printer has started to go into a reboot loop citing error 79.

I did some research and came across a known issue for which HP have a support page, it says this can be caused by IPV6 being enabled and to disable it. I have done this I have also turned off all computers in my house and my wireless router. When there is no internet connected the printer will stay on indefinitely. Unfortunately when internet connection is restored by turning on the wireless router about 16 seconds after that the error returns.

I do not need IPV6 but I also cannot use my printer, I suggest this is a firmware bug as my printer recently updated.

Currently to resolve this I have had to block internet traffic to the device on my router, this allows it to function on my internal network, however I cannot use e-print which I use heavily as the internet is blocked. The moment I enable internet traffic the error loop resumes.

I should point out I use all genuine hp toner.

Firmware datecode is: 20201021
